This article offers a spatial and timewise examination of the 1675 imperial festival which took place in Edirne (Adrianople) during the reign of Mehmed IV (r. 1648-1687). The article links the recent works of various scholars, and contribute to Ottoman festival studies by providing original data on the determination of the festival square with the help of the recent archaeological excavations in the imperial palace in Edirne, and the analysis of the places of the sports games held during the festival. In the light of witness accounts, it analyzed the architectural setting in the festival events. According to both Ottoman and non-Ottoman sources, time management of the Ottoman court is explored by the daily program of the celebrations and timing of the Ottoman high court members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
